Shinkansen Zero-Kei is a competitive game designed for 1 to 4 players, where each player takes on the role of a company responsible for constructing the new high-speed railway. Using cards, each player creates a unique set of actions, distinct from their opponents. By strategically utilizing these actions, players must advance the construction of the Tokaido-Shinkansen line and assist in building Olympic venues to reap their benefits.

Players will embark on the monumental task of constructing the historic Tōkaidō line of the Shinkansen, which was initially built in 1959 to host the fastest train in the world before the 1964 Tokyo Olympics. Strategy is key in Shinkansen: Zero Kei, as players navigate through the construction of the iconic railway line and its stations.

In this network and route-building game, players will assemble their bullet trains and incorporate carriage cards to gain actions and abilities necessary for constructing tracks and stations, collaborating on Olympic venue preparations, and acquiring new carriage cards. Victory points are earned by aligning carriage cards with the cities along the railway line in the correct sequence.

With each player representing a construction company, competition intensifies as they strive to demonstrate their efficiency and emerge as the victor of the game.
